Introduction to Mindfulness
This one-hour workshop introduces participants to the neurobiology of mindfulness, the basic pillars and tenets of mindfulness, and offers instruction on how to begin a personal mindfulness practice.
The Mindful Classroom
This 1.5-hour workshop explores ways in which educators can integrate mindfulness into their teaching practice to enhance learning and wellbeing in the classroom.
Self Care for Teachers
This 1.5-hour workshop is designed to address and relieve chronic stress that leads to teacher burnout. The workshop supports the wellbeing of teachers by offering tools for self care and restoration that can be used throughout the school day and beyond. We will use mindful movement and meditation to restore our bodies, minds and relationship with one another.
Beyond Mindfulness
This one-hour workshop takes contemplative practice to a new level by looking at how mindfulness can be the foundation for compassion for others. We will explore compassion based practices such as gratitude, loving kindness and exchanging self for other. These practices help us develop personal resilience, strengthen relationships, and build supportive communities.
Nonviolent Communication in the Classroom
This 1.5 hour workshop explores how human behavior and emotions are driven by unmet needs. We will explore how we can use mindfulness to identify the feelings and needs in ourselves. This increased social emotional awareness can improve communications and enhance connection.
Half Day Retreat
This three-hour workshop treats educators to some much deserved self care while offering practical tools they can use in the classroom. Educators will experience both mindfulness and compassion-based practices as well as have an opportunity for relaxation and restoration through mindful movement such as yoga, qigong, or expressive dance.
Ongoing Coaching
I am available for classroom visits and/or collaborative planning sessions that support teachers in their commitment to mindful instruction. I can collaborate with invested individuals or teams on an ongoing basis to integrate mindfulness into their teaching practice for the wellbeing of their students and themselves.
