Storytelling with Invented Vocabularies

Have you ever considered telling a story in your own invented language? Today’s expressive arts exploration involves sharing something about yourself through mark making in your own made-up alphabet. This visual vocabulary need not make sense to anyone but you. Consider it a piece of music that emerged to express itself in the present moment.

What is the energy, shape, color, and line of the story? What direction does it move in? How does it begin and end? Are there repeating patterns? Is anything unexpected trying to break through?
